This card, inspired by Julie Davison, is perfect for using up scraps of Designer Series Paper in your stash. (Stampers registered for next month’s All-Occasions Stamp-a-Stack should expect something similar!)
Here I used leftovers from Ever Eden Specialty DSP (no longer available); its beautiful gold accents are complemented by gold cord and Gold Foil. Repeating an element is a simple way to take your card design to WOW!
When you are feeling overwhelmed by scraps of patterned paper, try this layout!

The All Squared Away bundle is on sale this month only for a 20% discount! It’s part of the Savings Are in Bloom! promotion, which features the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine — also at a 20% discount!
I didn’t use the All Squared Away stamp set on this card, but I did use one of the Meadow Moments embossing folders (a set of two). These folders (and several other sets) are designed to work with the Mini C&E. See them on pages 154-155 of the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
I used a Stampin’ Blends marker to color the leaves, working quickly with the brush tip to keep the effect casual. Although you could place an embellishment in the center of the posy, I thought it looked cute with the background showing through the hole.

Along with Blending Brushes, Sponge Daubers are useful for applying ink through Decorative Masks (as I did on the card in this post).
For this Marvelous Masks class card, we applied VersaMark ink through the mask, then heat embossed the panel with clear powder.
This is one of my favorite class cards because the result is so amazing!
The beautiful tone-on-tone Basic Gray panel deserved a sentiment on an equally beautiful frame, from Ornate Frames. This frame and other detailed dies are why I am so happy with the effectiveness of the Cut & Emboss Machine — even when cutting Thick Basic White card stock! All of the Ornate Frames dies can be used in the Mini Cut & Emboss, available at 20% off during March only!

Well, technically, the Rainbow of Happiness stamp set isn’t used on this card, but the Brilliant Rainbow dies are! If this February camp card looks familiar, it’s because it’s nearly a direct CASE from the January-February 2022 Sale-A-Bration Brochure (see page 8). I loved the idea of creating the individual arcs of the rainbow from the Sunshine & Rainbow DSP that was free during SAB, so I did the same:
To ensure that the placement of the arcs was stress-free, I cut a template using one of the dies. Stampers used temporary adhesive to secure the template to their work, then applied tiny dots of glue in each “track” for the DSP.
The inside happy birthday sentiment (also from Celebrating You) was stamped in Misty Moonlight.
Doesn’t this create a fun card? I hope you earned this pack of Designer Series Paper for free; if not, check your stash for other suitable patterns!

I was mostly exiled from my stamping area while the painting continued in the basement, but my husband kindly insisted Tom take the day off so we could put most things back for my team gathering this month. We cleaned, moved furniture, cleaned again, moved furniture back the way it was originally — and in between those activities, I prepped a project for team stampers to make. Oh, and baked cookies.
I love most things with a bee motif, as my name means “honeybee,” so getting the Honeybee Home bundle was a given. For this card, I knew I wanted to use a tag embossed with the Hive folder, but I thought I’d experiment with layering some printed vellum on the tag first so it would be different from the card base. I did not expect this result:
I adhered the vellum to a piece of Bumblee using a piece of Adhesive Sheet. This allows complete — but invisible — adhesion, important because the embossing was kind of brutal on the tag. But the layers stayed together, and the result was a kind of waxy honeycomb effect that was amazingly cool!
I stamped and cut the bees and sentiment from thick Very Vanilla to stand up to all the texture on the tag. There’s Wink of Stella on the wings of the bees.

The day was warm-ish, our walk around the neighborhood was pleasant, and the painter was finished for the day. It was time to start playing with stamps, ink, and paper!
I began by looking through my “old” sets, then quickly chose Blossoms in Bloom. (OK, it was a quick choice because my sets are in alphabetical order.) Since purple, green, and yellow sing “Spring!” to me, these colors were also an easy choice for this anniversary card for my BIL and SIL this month:
I love this stamp set because figuring where to put the flowers has already been decided for you — as you can see from the product image below, all those flowers are on one stamp!
I hope the texture on the floral panel is obvious here. That is such an easy way to get additional interest, even if you’re using a panel of Designer Series Paper.
I stamped all over the ribbon to color it Fresh Freesia, This piece of ribbon was actually intended for this card, but it ended up too dark using this technique. I have no explanation or defense for the upside-down bow.
Using the Stamparatus for the Freesia flowers, I made a handful of thank you note cards in no time! Those had no ribbon, but a little Ornate Frames sentiment label, using the “stamp in the hole” Stamparatus technique. This is much faster (and accurate) than stamping a scrap and die cutting it. Essentially, you are doing it in reverse order, stamping on a pre-cut label that is positioned in the negative die cut:
Die cut the label from a scrap that is big enough to give 1/2″ margin or so all around; save the negative portion.
Die cut as many additional labels as you will need.
Using the Stamparatus, stamp the image directly on the grid paper.
Center the negative die cut over the stamped image; secure with magnets.
Place one die label in the “hole” of the negative die cut scrap.
Stamp.
Repeat.
If I can hire the 5th grader to help, I’ll make a short videotape on this.

One of the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks has a curvy, vine-like pattern. It’s the top-right mask here:
Because it has only vertical “solid” parts, it’s very loose — and it’s very easy to move the mask as you are applying color. In the Marvelous Masks class, we learned to use Sponge Daubers to apply color to keep the mask stable. You can imagine what would happen if you were, say, using a Blending Brush with a circular or back-and-forth movement.
This serpentine pattern is especially attractive, I think, in a small dose. So a tag was just the, er, ticket. And speaking of ticket, does this card bring to mind something related to sports?
I didn’t say anything in class, because I didn’t want participants to have baseball in mind whenever they saw their card! But really, the stitching on a baseball, the marquee outside of the stadium –do you see it?
I tried this mask using Pear Pizzazz ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and the result would be perfect for a project using the Artfully Layered bundle.

Welcome again to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop! Who are we? Bloggers from all over, sharing with you our creations on one stamp set/bundle. Today’s focus is on Rainbow of Happiness from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog. Note that although the stamp set is currently available, the dies are not scheduled to be in stock until the week of March 14.
You may have just visited Mitosu Crafts, the blog of Jay Soriano, and loved what he did — but you can complete the hop no matter where you start. Just click the banner, above, to see a list of all 10 bloggers in today’s hop.
I’m not sure I’ve ever owned a rainbow stamp set. I’m not fond of the primary colors seen on rainbows for kids’ rooms, and certainly not baby pastels, so I was challenged to do something as different from those as I could. And although I’ve used the Brilliant Rainbow Dies, I wanted to focus on stamping.
I cannot tell a lie: getting a good image was challenging for me. I was so unsettled by my lack of success, I was dreaming about this card! I was pretty sure I would need to start over using the Stamparatus (as I should have done from the start), but I left well enough alone and will embrace the imperfections.
This card is in the mail to a widow friend of ours — the bright colors should surprise and (hopefully) delight her! This rainbow is Polished Pink, Bumblebee, and Granny Apple Green. The sentiment is Gorgeous Grape.
I tried a variety of color combinations for my rainbows. One of my first was shades of green, but it felt too predictable. Next, I pulled out my favorite purples for this tag:
In our deep cleaning of the basement storage area, I discovered an amazing collection of gift bags. This is funny, considering I rarely use them! Even when I have swag bags for classes, I use neutral bags I can use for any season or subject. But in the stash, there it was: a bag nearly the perfect color for the tag already created. Bonus: purple tissue! This rainbow is Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, and Gorgeous Grape.
If you’re wondering, I used one of the (retired) Layering Ovals dies to cut this out. The curve was an excellent match! The little scalloped edge is fun, but the primary fun is inside the bag: homemade Oatmeal Scotchies, which rank #2 on the Favorite Cookies hit parade around here.
Thank you so much for visiting — now you’re hopping over to see what Kristie Wilson has for you at her blog, My Paper Life. Enjoy!
I know Sale-A-Bration is over {{sob!}}, but I wanted to share one more SAB card with you. If you hopped along with the Stamp Review Crew on Monday, you saw several bloggers’ creations using Friendly Hello, including mine. In fact, this February camp card was the start of my first note card on the hop:
This was card was inspired by Libby Fens. I loved the way she combined so many of the Friendly Hello stamps. I used similar colors — ones I really wouldn’t have thought to use together, but somehow they worked.
This is a birthday card for our granddaughter, turning 28 this month. Yikes!

And who doesn’t need a hug once or twice a day? If that’s not possible to give, remember the saying: a card is a hug with a fold in the middle! This card would work:
This is another of the “bonus” card packs for stampers who ordered the Eden’s Garden bundle and (now gone) Ever Eden Specialty Designer Series Paper. Since this card doesn’t use the DSP, it’s perfect for … you!
I’m not too proud to admit I couldn’t figure out how stampers got the sentiment in the middle of this beautiful, “viny” frame. How could you trim the sentiment scrap so that the frame fits around it perfectly? I finally had my answer from someone online, and here’s how I did it:
Die cut frame from Gold Foil; discard center.
Stamp sentiment on Basic White scrap; cut out with frame die.
Remove white frame and save for another card.
Carefully fit gold frame around sentiment, like a puzzle.
Carefully flip over and use scotch tape to hold frame to center.
This is a simple card — what color would you use to re-create it?
