Butterflies & Flowers: Grateful to Celebrate You

One of the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks has a curvy, vine-like pattern. It’s the top-right mask here:

Because it has only vertical “solid” parts, it’s very loose — and it’s very easy to move the mask as you are applying color. In the Marvelous Masks class, we learned to use Sponge Daubers to apply color to keep the mask stable. You can imagine what would happen if you were, say, using a Blending Brush with a circular or back-and-forth movement.

This serpentine pattern is especially attractive, I think, in a small dose. So a tag was just the, er, ticket. And speaking of ticket, does this card bring to mind something related to sports?

I didn’t say anything in class, because I didn’t want participants to have baseball in mind whenever they saw their card! But really, the stitching on a baseball, the marquee outside of the stadium –do you see it?

I tried this mask using Pear Pizzazz ink on Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and the result would be perfect for a project using the Artfully Layered bundle.
