This is my first card from the Stamp Review Crew blog hop earlier this week, featuring Christmas Classics. I haven’t participated in very many SRC hops this year — either I didn’t have the set for the hop or something else was going on. But I bought the Christmas Classics bundle for my Jingle Jumps this fall. I was ready to start creating something new!
This thank-you is a note card. As much as I love that amazing frame in the set of dies, it was simply too big; but the “inside” of that frame was perfect. Not only did I use a smaller size card, I also chose the smallest image (except for the berries!) in the set.
I was happy with how this turned out and promptly made several more! Perhaps you work this way, too: When doing multiples, I do the same step for each card before moving to the next step. This prevents me from looking back at the master card to see how far over I placed an element, or how I shaded some coloring. Ideally, I can (and do) put away the supplies for that step before I go to the next one. I constantly fight against chaos on my work table!
Using Festive Pearls for the berries was a perfect idea … except I no longer have any of the red pearls, so I colored some of the silver ones with a Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends marker.
