Talk about unconventional autumn colors! This September camp card uses a variation on a classic pairing of orange and blue, this time using Pecan Pie, Pool Party, and a dash of gold.
Instead of relying on several Stampin’ Dimensionals to lift the leaves, we cut them from Distressed Gold that had been backed with Foam Adhesive Sheets. In the first photo, you may notice something missing — the white foam edge of the leaf. Now I don’t always get excited about that showing (or maybe it’s just not noticeable on those particular card fronts), but these beautiful gold leaves called for a bit of doctoring. So we used one of the Wild Wheat Blends to color the foam. It’s really a beautiful finishing touch.
I’m happy I had a couple packs of Distress Gold paper in the drawer I use for Annual Catalog Designer Series Paper. If you love it, too, be aware that it is in “low inventory” status!
