Sending … pajamas

Unlike yesterday’s card, most of the cards from last weekend’s Marvelous Masks class were simple and monochromatic. This was the first card, using the Foursquare Decorative Masks pattern I called “X” — it creates something you might expect to see on your dad’s pajamas.

I love to layer vellum on top of a pattern. This stitched circle was popped up to give a frosted feel; if it was flat on top of the “X” panel, it would disappear. The elements on top of the circle were flat adhered to the vellum (using our Grid Paper to keep them straight), then Stampin’ Dimensionals were adhered behind those elements to lift up the circle.

Each Marvelous Masks participant brought an ink pad in her preferred color, and I created samples with some of those colors. However, I started prepping before I even opened the class for registration, so for this card, I used one of my preferred colors: Lost Lagoon!
