This is the final card from last month’s Jingle Jump. It uses one of my favorite layouts, perfect for using up scraps. These come from the A Walk in the Forest Designer Series Paper that I used in this card with a totally different look! That paper, although retiring at the end of the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog, is still available.
To complement the patchwork effect, I embossed the panel with a retired folder that will live in my studio forever. Tasteful Textful is so useful when you need just a little something — here, the illusion of quilting. The embossing not only provides texture, but it sort of fuses the adhered DSP rectangles to the white panel. Even if the application of adhesive was less than perfect, the embossing seems to prevent the edges and corners from lifting.
Also retired (and gone for some time) is Framed & Festive. That set has a particularly useful set of sentiments, with a mixed font design perfect for this lighthearted card.
