I had every intention of posting this card earlier this week, but then all of the Stampin’ Up! promotions jumped to the front of the line. Did you take advantage of them yesterday?
Are you ever overwhelmed with color combinations when you begin to design? If you suffer from the “paralysis of analysis,” I suggest starting with shades of just one color. Limiting my choices to Old Olive and Mossy Meadow meant this Stamp Review Crew blog hop card went together quite quickly — and if my goal is to get a card in the mail, that’s important.
You may notice that the matted panel is off-center. I did this so that I could accommodate the sentiment. And for both the sentiment and the Maidenhair Fern sprig, I let the elements “bleed” off the edges of the panel. This feels more comfortable and less cramped than forcing them within the “window.”
I noticed that other people who have used this image call it a Ginkgo branch. Perhaps I am wrong, but this doesn’t look like the Ginkgo leaves we have here. When I used Google Lens on this image, it suggested Maidenhair Fern. So I’ll stick with that until someone can offer additional clarification!
