Perennial Postage: Big Hugs

I may not have invented this “recessed window” layout, but I am a huge fan! It is so fun to play with patterns — especially with all the Sale-A-Bration freebies — and sentiments to create the exact card you need. In fact, we are using this very layout for the February camp cards.

You will need:

  • A patterned panel with a cardstock mat (I use Thick Basic White when I want a mat that color). You need some body for that piece, because you will be using …
  • Plenty of Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A sentiment square that is small enough to allow a significant margin.

You can use all kinds of shapes for the window and sentiment; I used the retired Layering Squares dies because there is no stitching or other distraction from the sentiment.

This twine (also retired) is heavier than our standard Baker’s Twine offerings. I stopped selling my retired twine because there’s always a color I can use for something. Like this.

This is a card for our neighbor next month. Happy birthday!
