Yesterday we took my SIL out to breakfast for her 89th birthday; this was her card. I originally intended it for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop, but I wanted those cards to be simple and easy, and this card was neither.
Not that I don’t love the way it turned out — I would make it again, and I had a wonderful time coloring all those flowers. Truthfully, I’m never sure where a leaf ends and a petal begins, so if you spot anything amiss, well, that’s nature for ya.
That piece of embossed vellum adds some softness to the design. I have always loved using vellum; it should be my middle name. What was my mother thinking????
