Artistic Mix Decorative Masks: Birthday Wishes for You

Before too much time gets away from me, I need to get back to the cards we made in the Marvelous Masks class last month. Some of the samples we made were used in finished cards, including this one, but mostly the class was about practicing different techniques.

Two different (yet coordinated) dies went into this background. My general rule for two-step stamping (or, here, two-step masking) is to first stamp or apply the darker color, then the lighter one. That makes it much easier to see where you’re going, so to speak. I tried this particular background using the reverse order, and a lighter color, and it was challenging.
