Stamp Review Crew: Cottage Wreaths

Hello! Yes, we are squeezing in one more Stamp Review Crew blog hop this month — this one with a look at the photopolymer Cottage Wreaths stamp set and its coordinating Country Wreaths Dies. What a wonderful, versatile bundle!

If you have hopped with the Stamp Review Crew before, you know that you can click the banner at the top of this post (or here) to see the list of blogs on this hop. And, unless blogs or posts have moved or been discontinued, the links to specific hop posts will be there! That means you can hop at your leisure, taking all the inspiration you can and creating your own projects with this set. If you’re hopping in order, you’ve just enjoyed Mike Funke’s work at his blog, Stampin-Style. ETA: It looks like Typepad is having issues, and Mike’s post isn’t completely working. You may have to return to his hop post later.

The seasonal options in this set are very appealing to me, and I love the image that creates the fuller wreath — as opposed to the “twiggy” wreath, which I also love, but not for this card! I wanted to use the rich colors of autumn that remind me of a tapestry shot through with gold thread. I created the stamped wreath with those colors using the baby wipe technique (also for the leaves inside the card). Over this is a die-cut wreath in Distressed Gold Specialty Paper, now back in stock.

I designed this Christmas wreath card for the October Jingle Jump while keeping this hop in mind. It’s simple (my goal for JJ cards), with a snowy layer die cut from White Glimmer paper. That sparkle is echoed in the beautiful Festive Foils angled panel. (For an additional Cottage Wreaths Christmas design, from the August Jingle Jump, click here.)

I appreciate your visit here! For details on today’s cards, please come back later this week when I will have additional pictures and a list of products used. Note that the Country Wreaths Dies are not able to be ordered until (estimated) the week of November 7; this means the bundle is also not available until that time.

Your next stop on the hop is With a Bow on Top, the blog of Lou Kitzelman. Have fun there!
