Sweet Conversations: Luv U x3

I love pink and gray together, especially when it’s a lively (but not obnoxious) shade of pink, like Polished Pink.

If you saw this card on the Stamp Review Crew Sweet Conversations blog hop earlier this week, you read that I “dyed” the ribbon by stamping Polished Pink (on both sides of the ribbon) with a heavily patterned stamp. I used the smallest flower image from Flowing Flowers for that, but any image will do as long as there’s not a lot of empty space. I secure each end of the ribbon to my Grid Paper with sticky notes to keep the ribbon flat, then stamp. After a few minutes of drying, I flip the ribbon over and repeat on the other side. Even this thin, polyester (?) ribbon takes some time to dry. Trust me, you’ll be sorry if you rush!

Lucky for me that Sweet Conversations is a photopolymer stamp set — it made lining up the lines on the tags a cinch (I stamped the image of the lines twice per tag).
