I asked my husband what he thought of this card. When there was a longer-than-I-thought-necessary pause, I knew there was trouble ahead. “I like this,” he said, pointing at the heart. “But what is this?” I replied with exaggerated patience, “It’s the ribbon treatment,” and couldn’t help but laugh. He’s right, don’t ask his opinion if I don’t want to hear it!
I love this color combo for a valentine; the embossed brown background reminds me of a box of chocolates! Yes, tied up with a ribbon, honey!
I was inspired by a card by Amy Koenders (although hers had a different ribbon treatment!). I created a simpler “heart and flowers” design for camp this month that I’ll share next week.
