The perfect job for a hot summer day

Our July 4 was hot and sunny and humid, and that’s not my kind of weather. It has since dawned on me that July in north central Illinois is frequently like that — and now, very dry. No need to get crabby; before long I’ll be complaining how my hands never warm up.

So, after a bike ride and garden chores and a shower and breakfast, the lower level is the perfect place for me!

Organizing my stamping area is always a pleasure; this is the result of my latest efforts. Please click to read more! | Stampin' Up! | HeartfeltInkspiration.com | Debra Burgin

I shared my reorganization to Storage by Stampin’ Up! in an earlier post, but there were still some tweaks to be made. It makes more sense to keep my Stampin’ Blends above the ink pads in the same colors, so I changed that. I decided to keep my In Colors also in Ink Pad & Marker Storage Trays, so I freed up a drawer. You’ll notice, however, that I neglected to order the Storage Topper; that’s coming tomorrow so I can move the refills there.

Still, my little problem ever since I converted to “rainbowetical” color order was that I couldn’t remember the order of the colors! My card stock drawer shows me the order, but it’s a bit inconvenient to open it when I need to replace a pad above.

So I created the little clipboards with the key to each tower. Each color was punched from card stock. It’s so pretty to look at, and exactly what this aging brain needs.

Don’t you love the Rae Dunn holder for my Watercolor Pencils? It was an unexpected gift from my stampin’ buddy Jennifer Taylor. To raise the pencils up a bit (you can tell which colors I use most!), I trimmed some of the foam that comes with the storage to fit in the bottom.
