Piece of Cake: Patriotic Birthday

I was so happy to host the latest Splash of Inkspiration this past weekend. The Piece of Cake edition featured four cards with different styles, all using the Piece of Cake set and Cake Builder punch. I made this card specifically for my sister’s birthday, which is tomorrow:

Did you recognize the patterned paper from Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper? I have always loved mattress ticking stripes, so using this was an easy choice for me.

This was one of two cards we made that called for the cake and lollipops and stand to be popped up. There was lots of snipping and trimming going on! That little mark on the Silver Foil stand was not intentional; it happened when some adhesive touched it. If there’s a way to remove adhesive from foil paper, I’d love to know what it is! Anyone?
