Yesterday morning you may have heard a collective gasp of astonishment from the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator community as we learned of two big changes to the product line at Stampin’ Up!
The Big Shot and the Stampin’ Trimmer are both being retired.
That’s right! The Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog will not have a die cutting machine or a paper cutting tool. All Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer accessories will also retire.
But there’s more to the story: Although we’ll be missing those two fundamentals, new products are being developed — they just aren’t ready quite yet. In the meantime, you’ll see that new embossing folders and dies will be in the upcoming catalog and can work with any die-cutting and embossing machine (in some cases, adaptations like shims may be required).
So all is not grim, and I like hearing the corporate office use the words “innovation” and “new direction”! I’m looking forward to holding the new Annual Catalog in my hands when I receive it at OnStage in Minneapolis this weekend. My notebooks, sticky notes, planner, and colored pens are packed! (Also winter coat and boots.)
But until then, you’ll see Big Shot and Stampin’ Trimmer products on the retiring list that will be released on Monday, April 15, at 2:00 p.m. Central. (I will post that information as soon as I see it.) In anticipation, some items have already sold out — like the Stampin’ Trimmer Scoring Blades. As always, retiring items are only available while supplies last. Don’t miss out on the items you want and need!
