One of my best stampin’ friends celebrated her birthday yesterday. Indeed, as the title says, we have a beautiful friendship — one that began nine or ten years ago at a Stampin’ Up! event. Each of us traveled hundreds of miles, coming from very different locales, for the Nashville meeting. I cherish her and enjoy collaborating with her on stamping events. So here’s her card:
Even though she has a fall birthday, it’s so winter-like here I just had to go with some elegance and drama. Our beautiful autumn leaves are gone, so I’m moving on!
The two stamp sets used here, Beautiful Friendship and Very Versailles, have been on my wish list since June, but when they were part of the stamp sale promotion a few weeks ago, I jumped at the chance to freshen up my stamp collection and move away from Christmas a bit. Although Beautiful Friendship doesn’t have coordinating dies, this blossom is simple to cut out by hand, and I enjoy doing that if I’m not under pressure or fussy cutting dozens!
I hope you love the amazing Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders! I’ve used them for a Jingle Jump card and there’s a card featuring them in the November stamp camps, too. Both the rectangle and oval frames are simply stunning in foil paper.
The little spriggy piece is one I use often in Glimmer Paper for a touch of sparkle. It requires a few passes through the die cutting machine, but comes out beautifully.
