Three of June’s stamp camp cards used the masking technique to some degree. On this card, after we masked the boat, we added a mask for the horizon. With light, circular motions, we sponged the water. Removing the mask allowed us to very, very lightly sponge the sky. When the masks were removed, the effect was amazing!
A little trick for the banner behind the sentiment: this die, from the coordinating Smooth Sailing set, was cut in half, allowing us to extend the banner on either side of the sentiment stitched label (also from this set). Using your Grid Paper makes it easy to keep the halves straight and even. Couldn’t stamp without it!
