Nature’s Prints: Best Wishes

After brushing off my White Craft ink pad (unused for years, I think) to create a background for this card, I decided to see how this Maidenhair Fern image would manage the same assignment for another of my Stamp Review Crew blog hop cards. I like it!

Because this is a big stamp, getting an even impression was challenging (OK, impossible). But I just embraced the imperfection. I am not a machine, I keep repeating to myself.

Using a thin strip of Vellum to the left of the main panel and a Vellum eyelet ruffle to the right made this kind of sweet — suitable to celebrate your first granddaughter. I just hope this card finally arrived at my friend’s house; I really could have walked it over there, but I think it’s still a thrill to find something personal in the mailbox, don’t you?

This image shows Moody Mauve a little brighter than it is IRL.
