I have such great memories of Christmas shopping at the grand old department stores in downtown Chicago (complete with train travel, a fabulous lunch, and freezing weather) that each year I try to evoke that experience with an elegant Christmas design like this one.
Because Pear Pizzazz ink is so much lighter than this Mossy Meadow card base, I expected my background to be nearly invisible. But this combination actually gave me the tapestry feeling I wanted.
For the holly berries, I used Cherry Cobbler ink on Real Red cardstock, then brushed them with Wink of Stella. That echoes the shimmer in the antiqued, old-world oval frame. Although the Distressed Gold 12″ x 12″ Specialty Designer Series Paper has a holiday feel, that paper is actually in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog on page 139. I must not be the only stamper in love with it, because it is currently not available to be ordered. It is expected to be back in stock the week of November 7. Set yourself a reminder.
You may be looking through the catalogs for the stamp set that contains the Noel image, but stop. It’s part of the Fitting Florets Collection, which demonstrators may preorder this month. Customers will be able to order it on November 1, and I’ll give you the full details before then.
The short story is that this new collection has items (including the stamp set called Framed & Festive that I used on this card) that will be available only while supplies last. The bundle with this beautiful frame (and much more) is Framed Florets. These dies and the coordinating stamp set will be in the next Mini Catalog beginning January 5, 2023.
