Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew blog hop — the first one of the Stampin’ Up! 2022-2023 Annual Catalog year. Our international lineup of stampers will be showing off Sending Smiles (see page 14), and I’m so excited to see what my stampin’ friends have for you! Not a good time for you to hop? Remember that you can click the banner above to access the entire lineup of participants, no matter how recently the hop occurred.
You may have just visited My Paper Life, the blog of Kristie Wilson. You must look around her blog to see more of her talent!
The day I started working on this card, I had just received the Designer Tags die set. I knew right away that was the direction I would take, although if you notice I like using tags and small images on my cards, you probably are not surprised. This sweet cornflower-like image fit perfectly.
Orchid Oasis is (today) my favorite 2022-2024 In Color, but I find it difficult to photograph. The color reminds me of the periwinkle growing in front of our family room window. I thought of taking this card outside for its photo session but (a) there were bees the size of my thumb enjoying the periwinkle blossoms, and (b) it started to rain. So I did the best I could downstairs:
I omitted the word “smiles” from this sentiment by sticking a piece of tape over the word before inking up the stamp. To reinforce the “miles,” under the tag I included a panel of Layering Designs Vellum in the map print. One disclaimer: I do not have the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots, so I used an Orchid Oasis Stampin’ Blends marker on some retired dots.
Tomorrow I will give you a list of products used for this card, as well as a link to a free project sheet. Please come back!
Meanwhile, hop over to Nikki Spencer’s blog, My Sandbox — enjoy!

Love the peaceful vib of this card along with the symmetrical design.
Beautiful Debra. I love that tag – the perfect backdrop for your gorgeous bloom. I need to go and check them out. They may pop themselves onto my next order!
