Stamp Review Crew: Blessings of Home

It’s the third Monday — and if you’re home because it’s a holiday (or if you’re done for the day), grab a cup of coffee or tea and have fun hopping with the Stamp Review Crew through our creations using Blessings of Home. (Click the banner above to see the list of bloggers this time.) Perhaps you’ve just enjoyed the artistry of Cindy Elam at Heart’s Delight Cards. She is a perpetual inspiration to me!

I first used the stamp set and coordinating dies back in November, as part of OnStage@Home, the Stampin’ Up! gathering we enjoy twice a year. (As you can tell from the name, this has been virtual, and I am already excited about getting together in person in November!) Since then, I’ve stamped with this set a bunch (hah!) and was challenged by the SRC hop to do something different.

Yesterday was a real taste of spring here, as a lot of the snow melted, revealing ponds in the fields and my garden beds sodden and forlorn. But we can hope, so after lunch we bought some veg seeds — and I had my hand on some new supports for my vining flowers before reason prevailed (there was no price visible). My first card recalls the latticework that some gardeners use for that very purpose:

You can see from this exuberantly floral card that I love to color flowers! My second card uses the other floral image, perfectly sized for a tag. I took a gentler approach to the colors. After stamping the sentiment I trimmed off just the Thank You so this card would be appropriate for a friend who did a Very Good Deed for me. As with my first card, I wanted a unique background; this one I created with the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks.

In my Heartfelt Inkspiration blog posts this week, I’ll give you more details about each of these cards, including how I created the lattice and tag treatment, as well as the products used. Please come back for another visit!

But now, you’re off to visit Joanne Stubbings of Jo’s Stamping Spot. You must see her stunning use of color!

See you in a week for the next Stamp Review Crew blog hop!

Deb, your flower cards are always so lovely. The backgrounds complement the gorgeous coloring.
