This is a card I have made in several variations. I love this floral image! I think I’ve gotten past (mostly) the anguish over stained photopolymer stamps. Mostly. And this outline image is stained! I have the advantage of being able to thoroughly clean stamps immediately after using them, spraying them first with diluted Simple Green, then (after a brief wait) scrubbing with Dawn dish soap. That gets a lot of ink off — and, of course, red rubber stamps usually require nothing more than a press and swipe on my Simply Shammy.
For this camp card, we used the “filler” stamps to add color to the leaves and flowers. You can tell that the fillers only roughly match the outlines. No matter how you turn the stamp, it just won’t match perfectly. This can be bothersome if you’re a perfectionist, or you can embrace the imperfection! Stampers agreed that the overall effect is charming!
Peaceful Moments is a sentiment set that is essential in my stamping world; I’m happy that so many stampers earning a free set through Burgin Bucks choose it!
I did struggle with the orientation of this die-cut image, and on some of my cards it’s the opposite direction. Hard to say which way is “up”!
In May, we also used this same floral image with a different coloring technique. It’s all the rage now — can you guess what it is? Stay tuned for details!
