If there’s one thing that’s constant in my stamping area, it’s lots of scraps! Don’t be shocked, but I have been known to actually throw scraps in my recycling bag if I don’t think I can use them. That’s so different than when I started stamping; then I’d save every little bit to punch out a little circle, a little star, or a little heart. Because “you never know when you’ll need it.” But of course, the storage issue just becomes overwhelming!
But I love the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper from the January-February 2021 Sale-A-Bration Brochure. OK, I’ll admit when I first saw it I thought of my grandmother’s aprons. But in real life — wow! I love every pattern.
This DSP was featured in January’s All-Occasions Stamp-a-Stack to Go, so I had more scraps than usual. This card is simple, but so fresh and pretty for a birthday this snowy week!
There are two exceptions to the Flower & Field DSP here: a strip of Flirty Flamingo and one from the True Love DSP pack in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. I assembled the strips on a larger piece of Basic White, then die cut it. This eliminates the need to make sure the edges are perfectly even.
It’s very fun to put these strips together. Do you have a stash you could raid for this kind of card?
