I intended on posting this last Friday, following up on last week’s Stamp Review Crew blog hop, but after a busy and fun garage sale, I just couldn’t manage it. So here it is, my second card of the hop.
I chose Pretty in Pink as the 2024-2026 In Color I wanted to showcase on the hop, and even though it’s a “sweet” pink, I tried to temper that by pairing it with a strong neutral — Early Espresso, in this case. I’m glad I still had some retired 2022-2024 In Color Baker’s Twine in my stash for that bow, perfect for this early summer card.
I did two things to give more fullness to this beautiful flower. First, I stamped the smaller flower image on top of the larger one to add more shading. Second, I stamped another of the larger flowers but omitted the smaller image on top and Early Espresso center; after cutting out both flowers, I cut the plain one in half and layered it (with Stampin’ Dimensionals) under the complete flower.
