Country Flowers: So Lucky to Know You

I’ll admit, I was surprised and happy to see the return of Pretty in Pink as a 2024-2026 In Color! Over the years I have liked most of the Stampin’ Up! pink shades, but this feels to me like a good, basic, versatile pink. So I used it for this May camp card. You’ll see me use it for the Stamp Review Crew blog hop on June 3 dedicated to 2024-2026 In Colors — don’t miss that hop!

As I pointed out during the Stamp Review Crew’s Country Flowers blog hop earlier this week, I colored this bouquet exactly the same as the one on my other hop card (here). When I begin designing cards for camp or another group event, it’s often useful for me to have some identical pieces to work with, instead of starting completely over each time something doesn’t work out as I expected. Now it’s time to move on to other colors!

This layout is a kind of “reverse window,” with the bucket and bouquet popped up in front of the circle. I used one of my favorite design tricks, playing the stripes against the curved elements. You will want to die-cut the pierced circle first, then emboss the panel.
