I love it when an experiment turns out right on the first try, and that’s what happened with this card (you saw it as part of the Stamp Review Crew’s Country Flowers blog hop earlier this week). Although I have used ink inside an embossing folder, I wanted to see what would happen if I lightly brayered white ink on top of the embossed cardstock panel. This doesn’t work out perfectly, but I try not to be held hostage by perfection; I actually added extra ink around the edges of the panel so stampers would just relax and enjoy the process.
Be sure to dry the embossed panel after you apply the ink. Especially in our humid weather in north central Illinois right now, this Craft ink takes forever to dry.
This tag from Merriest Trees is one I probably use most often. It’s the perfect size for an image and sentiment or, in this case, a bigger combination of images.
