Here’s the perfect illustration of good intention but poor execution! I was making my step-daughter’s birthday card a few weeks ago(plenty early) and thought I’d take a picture of my workspace, highlighting the new Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio:
Unfortunately, I never took a picture of the finished card and I have only a dim memory of the end result — but I can tell you more about the Glass Mat. If you think it looks like a piece of Grid Paper, you’d be right. Except it’s not paper, it’s tempered glass (meaning it won’t shatter if you break it or drop something heavy on it, like a cast iron skillet). This mat can take the place of disposable Grid Paper, serving as protection for your work table, a way of measuring and centering your cardstock and stamping, and a palette that will wipe clean with alcohol or water.
I’ve always thought it would be wonderful to work on glass — absolutely smooth and fuss-free — so this has been fun!
This new “Studio” product (glass mat, silicone mat, and cleaning cloth; a $60.00 value) is FREE when you sign up with Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator. That’s one option when you join, or you may choose to add $30 more FREE items to your Starter Kit.
If you’d like to read more about joining with no further obligation, I’d love to talk with you. Or you can read more here!
