This July camp card was inspired by Elizabeth Price. I copied her colors (Lost Lagoon and Wild Wheat) and the embossed piece under the floral panel, but then I went in a different (and simpler) direction!
This was the first time I grasped the concept of these dies with the attached greenery. (There are two of these in my card — the Wild Wheat elements, each with two leaf things attached.) I believe the purpose is to avoid the fussy adhering that often is required with delicate sprigs, etc. Having the “bar” means that’s all you have to affix: a nice, pretty big, flat piece. It’s very clever, but I really didn’t get it from the catalog!
I am still so intrigued by Wild Wheat, which seems a little greenish in these photos, but that’s because of my challenge of getting some of the blue out of Lost Lagoon. I am acutely aware that I am sadly ignorant of how to capture colors accurately, but until someone contacts me offering their help, so it goes!
