Of all the June stamp camp cards, this one probably made me smile the most. (Or did I say that about another one?) Inspired by the stunning Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper (on sale through June 30), I used Lost Lagoon and white ink on the Lost Lagoon panel:
That’s it: random, all-over stamping with two stamps, two colors. It is so satisfying to create a background like this! Of course, it doesn’t end there; knowing I wanted to use gold as an accent (but being a bit stingy with my Gold Foil), I tried Wild Wheat as a mat and was so pleased with the look. Who would have thought?
The flower centers were accented with tiny dots of Metallic Enamel Effects Basics in Gold. I love the two Enamel Effects assortments, but I often forget to move my card out of harm’s way until the dots dry. It works very well to assemble the entire card, then apply the Enamel Effects. And move the card to another part of the table for 20 minutes or so! (Tip: hold the bottle tip-down and shake it, then keep the bottle straight up and down as you squeeze out tiny amounts.)
I made several of these cards for our daughter-in-law to give as graduation cards, but it works for a wedding, too.
The die I used for the sentiment is from the limited-edition Apple Blossoms dies. You can still find it (at huge savings) in the Clearance Rack (and the Apple Harvest stamp set is in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog).
