Petal Park: Thanks

Making a Gray Granite-based card in the gray winter is a bit risky, but the moodiness of that background (darker than in this photo) is brightened by the pop of Rich Razzleberry. I duplicated this card using Flirty Flamingo as the “pop” and was pleased with those results as well.

Another stamper inspired me to use one of the Sun Prints patterns for the background of the floral panel. The thin white border provided a nice bridge to the Razzleberry mat.

Although I could not find the emotional energy to send valentines this year, I felt so good after making and sending this card that I resolved to send more cards of appreciation. The Flirty Flamingo version of this design was sent to a bakery near us. Two weeks in a row I bought one of their delicious pastries for coffee dates, after-school snacks, and breakfast. I thought they’d like to know how much we enjoyed them.
