This birthday card from the recent Stamp Review Crew blog hop is pretty simple (as you can tell from the product list below), except perhaps for the aligning of the stamps (two of them) along the curve! And yet, that’s part of this card’s charm, I think.
Have you ever intentionally curved photopolymer stamps? It sometimes happens unintentionally when new stampers are affixing a photopolymer stamp to a block. I learned how to do it like this:
- Peel the stamp off the window sheet or stamp case. This may stretch it out of shape.
- Put the stamp face down (i.e., flat side up) on your Grid Paper.
- Let the stamp “relax” (returning to its original shape)
- Press the acrylic block against it.
If you hold the stamp in your fingers to put it on a block, I have found chances are much greater that you will accidentally change its shape.
As with my other Amazing Phrasing card earlier this week, I placed the stamps in a curve on a big block (H), then adjusted them as necessary.
No, your eyes do not deceive you: there is shading in the corner of the So Saffron layer, in order to suggest the sun.
