At the February stamp camps, several stampers said their first car was a VW bug. So many stories, including my own about two of my sisters who had Bugs, much to my envy! This camp card features a Bug a bit more lively than my sister Nancy’s (beige, really???), but if you couldn’t indulge in a little fantasy with your Stampin’ Blends markers, how sad would that be?
We colored the windows with a Light Smoky Slate marker, then lightened it considerably with the Color Lifter (allow to dry between applications).
I love using Decorative Masks with a Blending Brush to create a background, and these dots were perfect for this playful card. Although the presents on the roof of the car (unsecured!!!) could make this appropriate for a variety of gift-giving occasions, we stamped a happy birthday greeting from Mischievous Mice inside.
Don’t miss the Stamp Review Crew blog hop (Monday, February 28) featuring projects using Sale-A-Bration items. You’ll find lots of inspiration from the SAB brochure that retires on Monday — begin here!

Love this card! My family actually had two bugs growing up. I took a white one to college where pranks with my car were plentiful – including turning it sideways and filling and it newspaper. Good times!
Haha, you hung with the fun kids!
