Blessings of Home: a Real Blessing

I hope you enjoyed the Stamp Review Crew Blessings of Home blog hop yesterday — if you missed it, click the link to see the post that will get you started!

It is great fun to experiment and play with the featured stamp set for the hop. I do things with those projects I would never expect stampers to do in one of my camps!

Such is the case with the “lattice” background, constructed with five panels cut from one of the Rain Boots dies (you can see the die I used in the product image below) and teeny, tiny dots of glue to hold them in place. I was pleasantly surprised that there was just the right amount of glue — just enough to hold the panels in place without making a mess.

I used Shimmery White cardstock for the floral image and sentiment. I love purple with orange, so I chose shades of those Stampin’ Blends markers for the flowers, as well as So Saffron. I almost always do my leaves with Light Old Olive and Light Granny Apple Green markers.

I wanted the sentiment distinctively shaped, so I used a die from the Ornate Frames set — you may not recognize it because I used it sideways! I had barely enough space for it, but I love the way it looks.
