This is the second of my five November stamp camp cards. I held off on using this particular piece of Ever Eden Specialty DSP until I saw a card by Amy Koenders for this card. My version is pretty much CASEd from hers, but I forgot to credit her in my watermark.
Every sheet of Ever Eden has one side with gold foil accents (in this case, that’s what makes it a specialty paper), and these little gold sprigs are beautiful against this frostiness.
At camp, some stampers were surprised to receive full-sized Gold Foil mats for the front panels. I told them I would never do that on my own cards! Like many of you, I would cut out a smaller mat or circle from the foil that would be covered by the panel over it. It’s just easier for camp to keep the pieces intact.
I used to fret over errant adhesive on foil until one of my downlines tipped me off to the miracle of a fine microfiber cloth (like you’d use to clean your glasses) rubbed on the foil. Buffed it right off!
Here I used the Gold 1/4” Shimmer Ribbon, and that was just enough sparkle.
