Did you see the full moon last night? It was cloudy here, but Wednesday’s night sky was stunning! It’s the Strawberry Moon, and in honor of the strawberry-picking season, I made this birthday card. My inspiration was a project from months ago designed by Debra Harrison. I used what I had!
This gingham paper is from a couple of years back. It’s always reminded me of my mother, who had yellow gingham wallpaper in one of her kitchens. I don’t remember any strawberries, but I think she would have liked this card nonetheless!
The yellow is deeper than this picture shows; this rendering is a little too McD for me. But checks and scallops — how great is that? The retired Small Bloom Punch cuts out the larger flower, but you could actually simply stamp it on the scalloped sentiment panel (or fussy cut it) if you don’t have the punch.
