Last week I was frantically trying to get ahead of my birthday cards, and a wonderful card by Amanda Mertz was my kick-off inspiration. It gave me the opportunity to play again with the Floral Squares dies — this time with Blending Brushes and one of the Decorative Masks.
The leaves in the die cut were colored with a Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends marker, giving them a bit more pop. And if my ombré isn’t quite right, well, I tried. You get the idea. It’s fun to create backgrounds with the masks and Blending Brushes. Why am I not doing this every day???
The black centers of the flowers are simply Playing with Patterns Resin Dots colored with the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends marker. I love the resin dots because they are so flat and can be custom colored, even with a Sharpie if you’re not concerned about matching colors.
Did you realize that Stampin’ Up! heat embossing powders are now packaged in assortments? The Basics assortment (#155554) consists of black, clear, and white powder; the Metallics assortment (#155555) includes copper, gold, and silver.
