Flower & Field: Double turn-back

Here again is a design layout that is probably known by some stampers by a different name.

As with yesterday’s card, the construction is easier than it looks. Here, the patterned layer (4″ x 5¼”) has a 1½” slit cut from the right side, 2¼” down from the top. Then the top and bottom pieces are turned back from the slit to the corners.

One tip: make sure the pattern on the reverse side of your DSP is facing north, so that when it is turned back, something doesn’t display upside-down. Even better, chose a pattern that doesn’t have a “wrong” direction when turned back.

I chose an unrelated pattern for one set of leaves. There’s just enough pattern to make it interesting, but not distracting. I like going through my stash to see if I have a pattern that will work for die cuts like this.
