Here’s the first version of the card I made in yesterday’s video. This two-step stamping isn’t perfectly aligned. I used the Stamparatus — it seems like it should be perfect, right? Here we must consider the human factor: my eyes are not very good and I was stamping underneath the camera. Not the best conditions!
Even so, it’s much, much easier to use the Stamparatus, especially when you need to correct the inking, as I did in the video, or stamp more than one of the same card. (That’s what I’m doing this week, as I prepare for a big birthday in this household.)
In addition to the sample on page 39 of the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, I was inspired by an old episode of Home Town, where an artist friend of Erin’s hand-printed wallpaper for the kitchen backsplash. The excitement when they saw the print — that’s how I feel when I use the Stamparatus!
I chose this die from Beautiful Boughs because it echos some of the shapes of the tiles. It’s nice to be able to do that!
Remember, if you share yesterday’s video on Facebook and I draw your name, I’ll send you this card for you to keep or send to someone else (the inside is blank). The deadline for sharing is before Saturday, August 1.
