Throwback Thursday: Window Box Thinlets

Shortly after our governor issued his first stay-at-home order in March, I started tackling the storage area of the basement. (How many of you have been busy learning new skills or tackling home improvement projects?) Part of that effort involved going through an embarrassing number of completed cards from camps, etc., that had never been mailed.

I’m ashamed of that (even though I know I’m not alone). Cards are meant to be sent, not hoarded!

On the positive side, I did have a lovely trip down memory lane as I unearthed some of my favorite cards. This was one of them, from three years ago:

This card was CASEd from the 2017 spring seasonal catalog. The die was from the Window Box Thinlits set. I don’t remember how the color was created in the catalog, but we used Sponge Daubers to apply Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Calypso Coral ink that peeked through the raised die cut. I loved this look, which could also be more easily achieved with a piece of Designer Series Paper. The sentiment banner was Sweet Sugarplum card stock.

If my copy of the Stampin’ Up! 2020-2021 Annual Catalog ever arrives in our mailbox, I’ll see if there’s another die that could be used in a similar way!

I’m happy to say that my hidden stash of cards has been respectfully given away and received with great joy.
