Parcels & Petals: Birthday Cheer

I’ve had this card on my desk for some time, ready to add a message inside and send it on its way. It’s a favorite card of mine, designed for last June’s Host Appreciation Event. When I pulled it out of my stash, I wondered when I had shared it with you here. Answer: never!

For the event, I pre-cut the beautiful Whisper White Stitched Lace panel; participants just cut off the excess on either side with the edge die. I wrote about all those little tiny pieces in this post (and shared another card using this die), but what I didn’t know then — or for months — was the simple technique to make this much, much easier.

I’ll share the tip tomorrow, but now let me tell you more about the card.

I love this set because it’s so easy to create something beautiful. And, genius: the flowers (and speckles) are all one stamp! So, no grinding of teeth trying to stamp “random” images. Then it’s a cinch to fill in the leaves. The sentiments are also excellent. This is part of a bundle with a die set with a little box, labels, and extras; I didn’t use the die set on this card, but you know you save 10% by buying the bundle, right?
