Before I got through an entire week without posting, well, I had to post! I have been preparing for this weekend’s Love It, Chop It class and cutting — no kidding — 2,700 pieces of Come to Gather Designer Series Paper and boxing them up for participants.
(If you’re not familiar with the Love It, Chop It concept, Kylie Bertucci, a demonstrator from Australia, popularized the notion of prepping your DSP so that it is ready to use. When you cut up your paper, instead of just admiring and petting it, you are ready to create when inspiration strikes!)
Along with the Designers Series Paper, class participants could choose to add the coordinating stamp set (Gather Together) and/or dies (Gathered Leaves). As you’ve seen in previous posts, I’ve been cutting lots of leaves as I played with these products. I couldn’t help but design a card for September stamp camps:
My stampers were as amazed at these leaves as I have been; I’m not tired of them yet!
Also of interest, however, was the cool embossing folder. I ordered Scripty in my first order for the Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, and it languished in my cutting room for weeks and weeks. No longer! It is so precise and fine and crisp; I have sprayed my card stock with rubbing alcohol, but we did not do that in class and the results were excellent (and I didn’t have to worry about my hostesses’ kitchens!).
