Imagine going into the fall season without a single pumpkin stamp! When I discovered that problem, I started dreaming of all the things I could do with Gather Together (page 48 of the Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday Catalog) and ordered it forthwith.
Those of you registered for next weekend’s Love It, Splash It class naturally will be using the set (and the coordinating dies) — I think you will love it as much as I do. Oh, sure, I am the one who wondered if I really needed another leaf stamp (and maybe you did, too), but this set offers so much more.
That image from Tasteful Textures is one of my all-time favorite stamps, I think. The dies in the bundle are also so cool — but more on that some other time. Anyway, it’s the perfect little background image, and here it gives a bit of mystery, or maybe romance.
I colored the pumpkin NOT with the Stampin’ Blends, which should be a surprise to my stampin’ buddies, but with a reverse mask and Sponge Daubers. October stamp campers, you’ll see how this works soon!
A few tips:
- I used the “walking the edge” technique to give the tiniest bit of color along the top panel. Be sure to let it dry thoroughly before touching. You can read about this technique in this post.
- Read about the leaf here.
- Untwist the ends (but not the middle) of a length of 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim. Secure to the card front with a Glue Dot in the middle.
I’m pretty sure the recipients of these note cards have received them by now — enjoy!
