Back in April at OnStage, this beautiful image was my first peek at the new Stampin’ Up! 2019-2020 Annual Catalog; it was the motif for the CentreStage event. Despite bitter cold temps and snow, my heart was warmed with gratitude to Stampin’ Up! for kicking off the new catalog this way!
Coloring this is so, so satisfying! A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of working with a stamper on her Stampin’ Blends coloring technique. I showed her something I learned from another demonstrator: just a bit of yellow on the leaves is absolutely magical!
Although I colored my first dozen or so images in shades of pink, we used yellow on this July camp card. The Early Espresso card base creates a bit of sophistication, I think. I used Early Espresso ink for the image, too — it’s not essential to stamp it with Memento ink (just don’t over-blend). Using the Stamparatus makes a perfect impression easy.
The punch for the little tag retired years ago; it’s one of the few retired products I refuse to get rid of! I faked things by cutting a V out of the hole and slipping the tag under the knot of Linen Thread. Life is too short to thread tags onto cards!
