As I was gathering information about dye (Classic) and pigment ink for yesterday’s weekly newsletter, I was forced to open the Delicata Metallic Ink that arrived the other day in my Holiday Catalog pre-order. Many of you have already received the catalog from me (or it’s in the mail) — you can see this ink on page 16.
I chose the So Many Stars stamp set to experiment with; I used the ink on a stamped background panel and heat-set it. As I hoped, after perhaps 20 seconds of heat, the ink did not smear when I rubbed it with my finger. Using one of the star images, I stamped with the Delicata ink and immediately heat embossed it with clear powder. You might expect this would look identical to an image stamped in VersaMark and embossed with silver powder, but … well, you need to try this for yourself. Here’s what it looked like, with a bit of embellishment:
Capturing the shimmer and shine is always a challenge for me, and I’ll have to say again that this is much more impressive in real life! Don’t you love the stitched star die cut? It’s essential, I think.
This card needs something, I think, but I wanted to share a completed project:
I think this is the first time I’ve used Seaside Spray, a 2019-2021 In Color. So pretty!
