Rooted in Nature: You Are Wonderful

I am sheepishly admitting that I think I sent this to our grandson for his graduation from college last month, but … well, it’s not in my stash any more, so I’m pretty sure that’s where it went. That’s one of the problems of working ahead — addressing the envelope, noting the date to be mailed, and filing it under the correct month — I frequently forget the specific card that’s in the envelope!

Rooted in Nature | This camp card was inspired by Dena Rekow. I thought it was perfect for a guy -- my grandson! Please click to read more! | Stampin' Up! | HeartfeltInkspiration.com | Debra Burgin

This camp card was inspired by Dena Rekow. I particularly loved the way the leaves on the card base were stamped just toward the bottom in order to balance the design. I have a Pinterest board just for “good design” card layouts — those that could be made with totally different images and colors, based on that design or a clever aspect of it.

Although I don’t use a lot of fussy ribbon on my cards, I do love twine and thread. This was simply two strands of the now-retired Old Olive Linen Thread from the 2019 Occasions Catalog, which I would beg for in every Stampin’ Up! color, please! You can achieve the same effect with the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack.

The sentiment is a stitched panel of Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper (also retired). (Who would have expected a wood pattern in that pack?)
