That’s my estimate of what needs to be brushed or poked out of a piece of card stock that’s been cut with the new Stampin’ Up! Stitched Lace die, available June 4. Here’s what the paper looks like after the brushing and poking:
This die-cut Whisper White panel measures 5½” x 4¼”, virtually the same size as the die. Isn’t it stunning? It’s worth every bit of fussing. In between camp prep and “life,” I’m in the middle of making a bunch of these panels (for a meeting of the Heartfelt Inkspiration team and for a swap), so I’ve got an efficient and effective routine down. With a sheet of waxed paper between the die and card stock, I run the die forward and backward through my machine, turn it, and repeat the cutting. I’m able to flick many of the pieces out, then brush out most of the rest. As with any intricate die, it’s critical to make sure there are no pieces of paper remaining in the die before using it again. (BTW, the background is a piece of Terracotta Tile, one of the beautiful 2019-2021 In Colors.)
To get an idea of how tiny these pieces are, compare them with the back of a Stampin’ Dimensional:
Good thing my husband likes to vacuum the studio!
So who’s ready for a touch of eyelet now that spring is here? Here’s a Mother’s Day card I made that held a gift certificate. The white-on-white captures the feeling I have about spring these days, with gardens and graduations and weddings and birthday parties!
The stamp set is Parcels & Petals, a reasonably priced set with some beautiful watercolor flowers and wonderful sentiments.
I hope you’re loving the new catalog as much as I am! If you’re local, your copy is ready for “porch pickup” at my house. Those I am mailing will be going postal soon!
