Just one piece of this cobbler is left for supper. And, yes, the color is exactly the same as Stampin’ Up!’s Blackberry Bliss!
I don’t know why the blackberries have been so reasonably priced in the past couple of months, but it doesn’t matter. This is at least the third cobbler I have made, and it’s so, so good. I couldn’t believe my sweetheart didn’t want this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream this time, but he was content with it being ever so slightly warmed in the microwave.
This is one of our everyday dishes. Coincidence that there are blackberries on it? I don’t think so.
I adapted my recipe from The Pioneer Woman. You’ll find other recipes for this that call for an 8″ or 9″ square pan, but I want more crunchy crust on my pieces!
I remember making homemade blackberry cobbler with wild blackberries I picked when I was in junior high. I took my cobbler in for the Home Economic’s teacher to evaluate for my required “made at home by me” cooking project. Got a “A”. I sure miss living on a farm and picking wild blackberries. Thank you for reminding me of my favorite farm memories today. I love our “blackberry bliss color products”.
I remember a lot of what I learned in Home Ec! Thanks for sharing your memory!
