You may know that my mother claimed to have no knowledge of this excellent recipe, despite the reference to her on my recipe card. Nonetheless, I will keep her in the title and go on enjoying them by that name and the other name, Funeral Bars. That came about because I specifically was requested to make them for funerals at my former church!
Although there are four bars on this plate (and only one cup of tea), trust me when I say this was for show only! These bars are rich, and you would regret eating four of them.
I always have the ingredients for these in my pantry, and a few years ago I got wise and took an entire box of corn flakes and crushed them. One less step!
These sound so delightful. I am going to give this recipe a try.
