October, right from the start, has all kinds of birthdays for me to acknowledge, so there’s not a moment to waste! Most of the guys in our family have late-summer or autumn birthdays, so I design camp cards for them (you’ll see those coming up) and scour the sites of other stampers for good ideas.
This card, for grandson #3, is one of those good ideas! Inspired by Katie Drew, I chose to play it safe by stamping on an additional white panel. That was my safety net if something bad happened!
In order to provide some contrast, I used my “walking the edge” technique. That tip plus four others (and a video) are in this blog post.
Here’s a better look at the edge of the top panel. I don’t think you could cut a mat this narrow!
